Materials Guide

The functional lifespan of your label depends critically on structural substrates, face stock, and adhesive chemistry. Explore BIS Labels' core material processing classifications below:

1. Paper Stocks

Direct Thermal Paper: Chemically treated to react directly with heat from the printhead. Eliminates the need for ribbons. Ideal for short-term warehouse shipping, receipt issuance, and cross-dock labeling.

Thermal Transfer Paper: Requires a ribbon to fuse crisp barcodes. Offers significantly improved resistance against direct sunlight and heat fading over standard paper options.

2. Synthetic Films (High-Durability)

Polypropylene (BOPP): Moisture-proof, chemical-resistant, and tear-resistant. The premium go-to choice for consumer product labeling, pharmaceutical applications, and food packaging containers.

Polyester (PET): Engineered for maximum industrial endurance. Capable of surviving intense heat thresholds, severe abrasion, outdoor environments, and chemical solvent exposure.

3. Adhesive Formulations

Permanent Acrylic: Forms an aggressive mechanical bond with varied surfaces. Difficult to remove once fully set.

Removable/Repositionable: Leaves zero residue trace upon lifting. Ideal for processing containers and temporary retail tagging protocols.
